Performed in the 1,500-seat, roofed amphitheatre on the very grounds where Abraham Lincoln grew up, LINCOLN: Upon the Altar of Freedom, is a play by Ken Jones. This is the story of a young man who overcame hardships to become one of the greatest presidents this country has ever known.
Lincoln Amphitheatre is nestled in the thick woods of Lincoln’s boyhood home and offers a "Lincoln experience" by providing pre-show activities for children and adults, an optional catered meal, and theatre under the stars. Enhanced by multimedia projections and period music, the production of LINCOLN will give theatre-goers an insight into the life of the man whose legacy continues to impact the future.
Did Lincoln truly complete his quest here on earth? Find out - this summer - at LINCOLN: Upon the Altar of Freedom.
