This forest offers spectacular foliage and features a towering World War II Veteran’s memorial nestled in the midst of its tranquil surroundings. There are shelter houses available for picnics and events. A person or family is welcome to visit anytime for a picnic, enjoy nature or to visit the soldier memorial. If you would like to plan in advance for a family reunion or group outing, you may reserve the shelter house by calling (812) 357-2702. There are concrete outhouses available, but no running water.
The memorial forest is located about one mile off Highway 545 on County Road 1550 in Fulda. Turn east at the Catholic Church.
